Regional Fellowship Programme
A six-month exclusive programme developing regional innovation leaders through structured training and deep engagement with Singapore’s healthtech ecosystem.
Who It Is For ?
This programme is open to clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, as well as healthcare and academic leaders interested in healthcare innovation and translational impact. It welcomes individuals involved in clinical practice, biomedical and healthtech research, medtech and digital health development, as well as those leading or supporting healthcare transformation, innovation strategy, and system-level improvements.
The Regional Fellowship Journey
Regional Fellows will participate in a six-month programme offering an immersive experience in Singapore’s Health and Medical Technology innovation ecosystem. Fellows will gain access to Singapore Biodesign’s network, mentorship, and training in the Biodesign methodology to identify unmet clinical needs, develop practical solutions, implement them in real-world settings, and establish draft cross-border partnerships.
The programme begins with a two-month Singapore immersion giving Fellows the opportunity to engage with the local healthtech ecosystem, explore regional unmet needs, and expand their understanding of the broader innovation landscape. This experience also supports the development of regional partnership proposals and fosters collaboration with their home institutions, Singapore Biodesign, and the wider Singapore healthtech community.
Fellows are expected to commit approximately 10 hours per week for project discussions and mentor check-ins, and to take 2 months away from their current employment for the Singapore immersion (July to August).
