At the same time, AI is enabling more personalised, data-driven care and has the potential to generate 5-10% savings in healthcare spending, while improving access and outcomes.
Singapore, as a leading healthcare and technology hub, continues to play a key role in driving digital health innovation and serving as a gateway to the region’s growing healthcare market.
Building The Right Capabilities For The Future
Recognising this shift, Singapore Biodesign has developed a new innovation skills and competency framework related to advancements in digital health. Developed in collaboration with SB alumni who are actively driving innovation across healthcare institutions and the industry, this framework incorporates critical areas such as emerging technologies, regulatory and IP considerations, and best practices for adoption and implementation.
In Practice: Collaboration with NUS Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI)
As part of this effort, SB partnered with NUS DBMI to deliver a combined programme that brings together expertise in AI, digital health, and needs-driven innovation.
Participants engage in a structured learning journey that combines foundational knowledge with hands-on application, enabling them to better articulate clinical needs and evaluate the role of digital solutions in improving care delivery.
